We are a small business based in regional Western Australia.
We built the first Bushfire Model in 2016 for a Chief Bush Fire Control Officer who wanted to share his knowledge with new brigade members. He was after something that was easy to use, effective and not a PowerPoint presentation.
The first test run was very successful. Since then, firefighters have seen the potential and requests for more models followed. The model draws upon the input and ideas from firefighters across Australia.
Today, the Bushfire Model is being used by government fire agencies, mining companies and volunteer firefighters to share knowledge and deliver training.
This approach expanded significantly in 2023 following a request from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services to develop a version for sharing SES knowledge.
Each model is made by hand - an investment in time that maintains our aim of helping firefighters and other emergency responders to share their knowledge.
